TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Midwest Junior Volleyball was founded in 1983 and is the host of the Asics Junior National Championship.
Midwest Junior Volleyball previously served as the first host of the AAU National Volleyball Championships held at Benedictine University from 1976-1979. After 1994, the AAU event was turned into the USA Volleyball Asics Jr National Championships hosted by College of DuPage from 1995-2001.
Beginning in 2002, the Asics Jr National Championships, due to explosive growth, moved to McCormick Place, Chicago. It was the first Volleyball event to ever be hosted at McCormick Place.
In 2009, the Asics Championships moved to its permanent home at Navy Pier in Chicago. In addition to the Asics Junior National Championships.
The event is a professionally run event and has ages and divisions for every level of team. In addition players can enjoy in the Navy Pier atmosphere before or after they are done competing.
