TOURNAMENT HISTORY

Midwest Junior Volleyball was founded in 1983 and is the host of the Asics Junior National Championship.

​Midwest Junior Volleyball previously served as the first host of the AAU National Volleyball Championships held at Benedictine University from 1976-1979. After 1994, the AAU event was turned into the USA Volleyball Asics Jr National Championships hosted by College of DuPage from 1995-2001.

​Beginning in 2002, the Asics Jr National Championships, due to explosive growth, moved to McCormick Place, Chicago. It was the first Volleyball event to ever be hosted at McCormick Place.

​In 2009, the Asics Championships moved to its permanent home at Navy Pier in Chicago. In addition to the Asics Junior National Championships.

The event is a professionally run event and has ages and divisions for every level of team. In addition players can enjoy in the Navy Pier atmosphere before or after they are done competing.
